Thrifty Tuesdays: DIY Upholstered Ottoman

Kat from Maple Leaves & Sycamore Trees sent me this fantastic DIY upholstered ottoman.
The finished product is incredible, it looks so professional.

Kat started with a wood console table.

Then she cut the legs to be the appropriate height for an ottoman.

She then spray painted the base black.

Next, she used spray glue to adhere the foam to the top of the table.

Then covered the foam with batting and stapled it to the bottom of the table.

She also cut and upholstered 4 pieces of plywood for the sides of the table.

She then screwed the side pieces to the table.

Once the side pieces were attached, she added a decorative nailhead trim.

And finally,  she tufted the top.

Doesn't it look incredible?

I also love her choice of fabric.
Anyone inspired?

Thanks Kat!
